Terms of Service
Last updated: July 14, 2026
1. About these terms
These terms are a contract between you and PlusOneHUB OÜ (company registry code 17551069, Estonia). By creating an account, you agree to them.
We've written them in plain language, as required by DSA Article 14. If anything is unclear, ask us at hello@plusone.ee.
Governing law: Estonian law. As an EU consumer, you can always rely on the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence.
2. What PlusOne is — and what it isn't
PlusOne is a platform for finding company for activities. You can find someone to go to a concert, an exhibition, dinner, a film or a trip with.
PlusOne is not:
- A dating app. Finding romance is not the purpose. If a connection happens naturally, that's between you and the other person — but it is not what we're here for.
- An employment or gig-work platform (see Skill Swap, section 6).
- A guarantee of anyone's identity, character, or intentions.
We introduce people. We do not vet them, supervise them, or take responsibility for what they do.
3. Who can use PlusOne
You may use PlusOne only if:
- You are at least 18 years old
- You have not been previously banned from PlusOne
- You are not legally barred from using our service
One account per person. You must use your real name and your own photos.
4. Meeting other people — your safety
This is the most important section. Please read it.
When you meet someone through PlusOne, you are meeting a stranger. We do not conduct background checks. Verification (where available) confirms only that a document appears genuine — it does not tell you whether someone is safe, honest, or kind.
You are responsible for your own safety. We strongly recommend:
- Always meet in a public place for the first time
- Tell a friend where you're going, who with, and when you expect to be back
- Arrange your own transport — don't rely on the other person
- Trust your instincts — leave if you feel uncomfortable, at any point, for any reason. You never owe anyone an explanation.
- Never send money to someone you've met on PlusOne
- Never share your home address, financial details, or identity documents
- Do not go to a private home on a first meeting — including for Skill Swap
If you are in immediate danger, contact the emergency services (112 in the EU). PlusOne is not an emergency service and cannot help you in real time.
Our liability: To the maximum extent permitted by law, PlusOneHUB OÜ is not liable for the conduct of any member, whether online or in person. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
5. Rules of conduct
You must not:
- Harass, threaten, stalk, or abuse anyone
- Post content that is illegal, hateful, violent, or sexually explicit
- Pretend to be someone else, or use someone else's photos
- Be under 18, or knowingly interact with someone under 18
- Solicit sex, sexual services, or use PlusOne for romantic pressure after someone has said no
- Ask for or send money, or run any scam, fraud or investment pitch
- Advertise, spam, or recruit for a business, MLM, or political cause
- Scrape, copy, or automate access to PlusOne
- Attempt to break our security or access other members' data
- Share another member's private information (including screenshots of conversations) without their consent
If someone makes you uncomfortable, use the Report and Block buttons. We take every report seriously.
6. Skill Swap — special rules
Skill Swap lets you offer help to another member in exchange for a treat (dinner, a concert ticket, a bottle of wine).
Skill Swap is a friendly, non-commercial exchange between individuals. It is not professional work and not a paid service.
You must not:
- Offer or request licensed or regulated trades. This includes: electrical work, gas, plumbing, medical or dental care, legal or financial advice, childcare, or care of vulnerable adults.
- Accept or offer money. The exchange is a treat, not payment.
- Operate commercially. If you are offering the same service repeatedly to many members, you are acting as a trader — that is not permitted here.
You are responsible for what you agree. PlusOne does not vet skills, supervise the work, guarantee quality, or insure anything. If something is damaged or goes wrong, that is between you and the other person.
Safety: Do not go to a stranger's home for a Skill Swap without meeting them in a public place first.
7. Content moderation, reports and appeals (DSA Arts. 16–17)
7.1 Reporting illegal or harmful content
Any member — or any member of the public — can report content they believe is illegal or breaks our rules. Use the Report button in the app, or email report@plusone.ee.
Your report should include:
- What you're reporting and where to find it
- Why you believe it's illegal or against our rules
- Your name and email (unless it concerns certain serious offences)
- A statement that you believe your report is accurate
What happens next:
- We send you an automatic confirmation that we received your report
- We review it without undue delay, in a diligent, non-arbitrary and objective way
- We tell you our decision and how to appeal it
7.2 What we can do
If content or an account breaks these terms or the law, we may:
- Remove or hide the content
- Restrict its visibility
- Suspend or terminate the account
- Report it to the authorities where required
7.3 Statement of reasons (DSA Art. 17)
If we restrict your content or your account, we will tell you:
- Exactly what we did (removed content / suspended account / etc.)
- The facts we relied on
- Whether the decision was made by a human or automated tool
- The legal or contractual ground for the decision
- How to appeal
7.4 Appeals
If you disagree with a decision, email appeals@plusone.ee within 6 months. A human will review it. We will respond within 14 days.
7.5 Serious crimes (DSA Art. 18)
If we become aware of information suggesting that a criminal offence involving a threat to someone's life or safety has happened, is happening, or is likely to happen, we will inform the police or judicial authorities immediately.
7.6 Misuse of reporting
Repeatedly filing false or bad-faith reports may result in your account being suspended.
8. Verification
Verification is free, voluntary, and available to every member — it is not a paid feature and never will be.
Where offered, verification confirms that a document or phone number appears genuine. It is not a background check, a character reference, or a safety guarantee. A verified member can still behave badly. Always follow the safety advice in section 4.
We do not store your identity documents. Verification is carried out by a third-party provider, who sends us only a yes/no result.
9. Membership and payment
9.1 Free tier
PlusOne is free to use. You never need to enter payment details to browse, message, post plans, or use Skill Swap.
9.2 PlusOne Plus
Plus costs €10 per month or €100 per year.
14-day free trial: You enter your card details, but you are not charged for 14 days. We will email you a reminder before the trial ends.
Automatic renewal: After the trial, your subscription renews automatically until you cancel.
Cancelling: You can cancel at any time, in two clicks, from You → Manage subscription. There is no phone call, no email, no retention offer, no friction. If you cancel, you keep Plus until the end of the period you've paid for.
Right of withdrawal: As an EU consumer, you have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract. Where you ask us to start providing Plus features immediately during the withdrawal period, you may lose the right of withdrawal for the part already performed, as permitted under the Consumer Rights Directive.
Price changes: We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before any price change. You can cancel before it takes effect.
9.3 Partner offers
Discounts from partner businesses are provided by those partners, not by us. We are not responsible if a partner does not honour an offer, changes their terms, or closes. Please tell us at hello@plusone.ee if a partner doesn't honour an offer.
10. Your content
You keep ownership of everything you post. By posting, you give us a licence to display it within PlusOne so the service works. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account.
You are responsible for what you post. Don't post anything you don't have the right to share.
11. Suspension and termination
You can leave at any time — delete your account from the You tab.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you break these terms, break the law, or put other members at risk. Where possible, we will tell you why and how to appeal (see section 7.3).
Serious breaches — such as threats, sexual harassment, violence, fraud, or anything involving a minor — result in immediate and permanent removal, without warning.
